Ken Ohene Agyapong, a hopeful flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has shown his support for the party’s campaign in the Kumawu Constituency ahead of the upcoming by-election by donating a brand new pick-up vehicle. Mr Agyapong, who is also an Assin Central lawmaker, presented the vehicle to NPP officials at the party headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra on Tuesday, May 9.

According to Mr Agyapong, his aim is to strengthen the party in the constituency and ensure a win for the NPP in the by-election scheduled for May 23. The seat became vacant after the former MP for Kumawu Constituency, Philip Basoah, passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on March 27. The Electoral Commission (EC) announced that the by-election will be conducted in line with Article 112 (5) of the constitution.
